The Main Avenue center is made up of two parts:
Ocular Diagnostic Center, provides facilities and equipment for
the most advanced studies. It has been designed so that all necessary testing can
be performed expeditiously with a minimal loss of time for both staff and patients.
The center is equipped with special equipment to perform the diagnostic and therapeutic
procedures (eg.,
HRT,
digital flourescein,
FDT perimetry,
digital stereo photography,
topography,
pachymetry,
diode laser cyclophotocoagulation,
etc.)
The Ocular Surgery Center, Inc., a Medicare approved ambulatory surgery center, is equipped and
staffed to handle ocular procedures which can be performed on an outpatient basis.
This includes cataract extraction with intraocular lens implantation, glaucoma surgery,
and many procedures of the retina, vitreous, cornea. The center houses a LASER
suite and family viewing area.
If your treatment includes surgery, we
will work with you to make the experience a positive one. In most cases, you will
be shown a video presentation relating specifically to your problem. This will answer
many of your questions. Before the surgery we will hold a special meeting with you
and your family to explain the procedure, answer any question you may have and schedule
a convenient date and time for surgery. All surgery will be performed at the Ocular
Surgery Center, Inc. unless hospitalization is required.
